A popular track and event for fast 5ks in Pendle. We have had Peter Speake, Richard Coen and Claire Clancy run there before with great results.
This weekend Andrew and Tim turned out. Choosing the ‘C’ Race [for running time of 16-18 minutes] they had a go at their PBs.
Tim couldn’t get near his 2021 Mid Cheshire time of 17:44. However, Andrew smashed his 2019 PB by 47 seconds! And also practiced his winning salute!
If Tim hadn’t chosen to keep Andrew company and ran in the D race instead. He would have been 4th and first in his AC!
The A race was won by Philip Sesemann – remember him! – In 14:09. A long way off his 13:45 PB.
