Well seeking her break through in the Movies. Young Claire took off to the Sunny capital of Spain to sight see and audition in the XXI Movistar Madrid Medio Maratón.
It was a double for Kenya winning both mens and ladies race.
In fact, the race was dominated by the African nations: Kenya, Ethiopia and Morocco. In the mens race the African runners had 10 of the first 11 places. Only a runner from Spain prevented a complete top 10 whitewash.
For the women the first 7 runners to finish were all from Africa with runners from Spain and USA in 8th and 9th places. Then came our Claire in 10th. Who was not stopping for reed lights, but a little slower than she set at Manchester last October when no doubt it was a little cooler. She was second in her Category – behind the Spanish runner.
