Dear All!
I have been preparing the results for the Summer Series now for 8 years. The League has grown from the Best 3 Races of 5, to the substantial and multi-league contest that it is now. I do not claim any credit for this I may add. It has simply developed from the idea initiated by Tony and the enthusiasm of the club members to compete.
Whilst I would never say never, my return to training and competition at Wilmslow RC looks decidedly doubtful. I have a knee op probably in September then 3 to 6 months of rehab. I obviously hope to run again but my high mileage days are over and aspirations limited.
So I believe it is time that a new custodian of the Summer Series is found and time to provide relief to you all of my inane commentary!
The Brief: I prepare the results in Excel and it is highly automated so anyone with competent Excel skills can take it over without fear. I have written some visual basic code for it so if you have a little knowledge with this it would be helpful, but not essential. This year I have been posting the results on the club website but this is also straight forward and easier to do than the earlier word version. I will of course continue to prepare the results for the time being and sit down with whomever wishes to volunteer.
Don't be shy in stepping forward!
