A very wintery weekend and some chose safety, or warmth – or like me used the injury excuse – to stay indoors/bed!
Some didn’t – we had a dozen intrepid runners out on Saturday at 5 parkrun events. With so few events on it was busy wherever you ran,
Gareth and Victoria went to visit the Holy Grail of parkruns. Mind you it might have been warmer down south. Richard hit 20 minutes dead in the Midlands and finished an impressive 7th. Tim and Andrew skated around Congleton. Rebecca chose to shelter in the forest and was rewarded with being the first lady to finish.
The remaining half a dozen went local: Wilmslow. The course had been gritted. A couple got engaged too!
Andrew pipped Jim to finish the first club member home. Dave, Graham, Mike, and Steve were the other club runners. It will be Andrews 100th on his next outing. Dave will have to wait do two more for his 100th

Thanks for your usual report Patrick.
I ventured down to Wilmslow ParkRun only to find compacted ice on the opening section before the first bridge, plus ice up the hill towards Hawthorn Lane. I thought discretion was the better part of valour and headed back home for breakfast. I think they were lucky to have had no fallers. It remained cold and icy at yesterday mornings trial handicap run.
