WRC Members Parkrun results – 28th May 2022

A busy Saturday morning.

With no races  this week there was a lot of travelling by our members. We  had 25 club runners out running at 15 parkrun events. Some were recovering from the Dunham 5k.

A quiet Bramhall saw only Graham turn out. Other soloists were: Qes in London; Paul at Burnage [after a 6-year absence]; Richard at Lyme park; Rebecca at Cheadle; PaulG first-timing at Macclesfield.

Ian was back at York with his quickest time for nearly 3 years there. Colin smarting from not having a PB at Dunham ran hist fastest parkrun ever nearly a minute quicker than his previous all-time best. GrahamD first timed over in Yorkshire. Oliver returned to the gardens and PB’d by over 2 minutes.

Another PB was set by Sam at the University parkrun. Perhaps the appearance of Rob on his shoulder spurred him on to knock 10 seconds off his PB. Rob was top AG runner with his quickest time this year as well as breaking the Age Category record for the course.

Looking at the dual-ists: the breakfast boys hit Delamere with Richard pacing Chris around before breakfast; Nicky was top AG runner and improved her Summer Series parkrun time by a few seconds, whilst Don was a few seconds off his February time.

Tracy resting let Nic loose at South Manchester. After his impressive run at Dunham he flew around the course finishing with a PB of over 40 seconds over his 2016 time. He was sub 23 for the first time in years. Alan too had a great run. It was his fastest time there since 2016. The Gentlemen’s Club was also in attendance – more in search of Series Points than breakfasts!

That just leaves Wilmslow. Andrew, James and Robin all in the top 10. Andrew almost back to his January times. Allan was back after 6 months with his fastest time since 2019. But top marks to Kate who was third lady home with a PB too knocking 18 seconds off her 2018 time.
