Wilmslow members parkrun results 23 April 22

A sunny Saturday morning brought out 29 club runners  at 11 parkrun events.

Young Sam tried out the new University parkrun and put in a reasonable time there. Other soloists included Tim – back at Alexandra park with usual 18:20is time and top on AG;  Graham back at Lyme park after 9 month absence; RichardH returning after 2 years to get a PB;  and also a PB for Carolyn running with Shazza – who also PB’d;

In the couples stakes: the Johnstone’s hit Burnage – Sharon first lady and Oliver hists quickest run since January; the gentlemen’s Club outing saw them take to the quiet grass at Cheadle – Ian with a time much quicker than his last outing there; and Nicky and Don took to the crowds at Stretford – first time for Don but 5 years on from her last visit Nicky PB’d also equalling her quickest time since 2016 and a fantastic AG of 88.41%. Whatever she’s taking she should bottle it and sell it!! 😊 Unbelievably [almost] she was second on AG behind a VM55 running his 3^rd parkrun who almost hit 95%. Both Nick and Tracy PB’d by 6 seconds. Not sure if Alan paced Nic round. Tracy top on AG.

Looking at AGs. At Wilmslow young Isobel [JW11] not only PB’d but topped on AG too. Andy was third on AG with an of 80.19%.. Jim , getting quicker each week, was third runner home. Mike[10th], Nick [11th], James [15^th]. Mike held of Nick in a photo finish. Rebecca had her fastest run here since October. Perhaps it was helped by Andy and Andrew on her shoulder. Colin was back in town. RichardH volunteering looking in the pink.  His son PB’ing  and finishing 8th? Styal were pacing. Are the Striders or WRC up for this sometime?

A big turnout at Bramhall. Three finishers in the top 5: RichardC, Barry and Rob in positions 2,3 and 5. They were also, in reverse order. the first 3 on AG. Jarrod back after 6 years absence less than 10 seconds of his 2016 time. RichardL ran his 200^th parkrun. Janine in her 23-minute groove. Graham and his missus ran. Graham’s time was good too
