Out and about week ending 17th April 2022

A quiet week leading up to the Easter weekend.

Two races.  The Spring 5 mile  saw fine runs from the Lucas girls! Peter winning at the the South Cheshire10k . Both reports of those races are on the website.

Elsewhere  Motorway delays saw Peter miss the start of the Spring 5 miler. Still ran the  course in 26:21 – the winner’s time was a minute quicker; but not bad for a tail runner!!  Hipperty finally decided and gave up ghost and put aside his running shoes for the trip. Future unknown.  Bramhall parkrun entered its 14th year

Speaking of unknow. There were  runners  who took on the Pwllheli parkrun on Saturday. Billed as a fun run, the course is run entirely on sand. A bit like the boat race –  it was run almost on high tide – so mainly soft sand with the occasional sinking and wet feet. But then again it was probably good  for xc training! So we’ll expect some great results from the Bee Gees this autumn!

Rob Gathered Damian for a Stag trip which ended up on the Rocks! Runners were out in the countryside, inspecting beaches or coastal paths or just out riding. Or just visiting Nancy.

Pigs, curlews, snails, cows hares and grouse were on display.
