Wilmslow Club Runners Parkrun results : 26th March 2022

A sunny Saturday morning brought out 24 club runners to run at 8 parkrun events.

At Northwich Paul, back from his HM success and sheltered from strong coastal winds this week, first timed and saw his quick time see him finish top of his Age Category [AC].

Whilst those seeking a quick time at Alexandra had mixed results. For Nicky, Covid had no effect on her run; as she matched her previous time run a month earlier at Osterley park. Don, recovering from pacing last Sunday ran sub-30, but couldn’t improve on the PB he set last time he ran here – still he finished with his shirt on the right way round.

Jarrod eased his legs around the grass at Cheadle. Rebecca first timed at Burnage.

The three wise men took to Stretford to seek speed and a good time. IanS, who last run there nearly 4 years ago, ran 22 minutes. I can’t remember when he last ran that fast!!  IanA also responded with a very quick time – a minute faster than his previous run there. Roy almost matched his previous time.

Barry topped the AG table at Bramhall with his quickest run since July 22. Mark was as consistent as ever with his quick time. Janine had ger best time for the year.

Good results at Congleton. Three club runners in the top 5. Andrew first timed and was first home, RichardH, 5 seconds of his PB,  took 4^th ahead of Tim in 5th. Alan was back but no improvement on his last run there. After a 6 year absence Sue was back – her first parkrun for 6 months.

That just leaves Wilmslow.  There we had 5 club runners in the first 7 finishers. Mans and ladies first finishers in Sam and Di. Sam just 7 seconds off his PB! Jim easing himself back was a little quicker than last week. Mike was sub-20 for the first time in few months.  Di, back again now with a fast time last seen in2019. Andy had to go back to 2019 since he last ran that fast. Jon too was back. After a 3-month absence he knocked a minute of his last time.  Next week it is the 300th run at Wilmslow!
