I spoke with Bob Lynch from Macc Harriers this morning, who mentioned a subtle tweak to the L7 route.
This is on November 7th, and as known clashes with the cross country at Sherdley Park.
In the final mile of the race, the new route takes you on the trail and around the reservoir, coming out at the finish of the Forest 5 at the Leather Smithy…And then down to the usual finish.
The change is on safety grounds. A lot of cars park alongside the reservoir and the road in effect becomes single lane with quite a few cars driving towards the Macc Forest Car Park and into the path of the oncoming runners.
