Today was the penultimate race of the MACCL five race series. The decider is at Wythenshawe Park, Saturday 8th February. As always for both teams and individuals, its the best four of five results to score.
Plenty of opportunity for medals, both team and individual in all categories come the final race. After the final race, the league hosts a presentation with a Hot Pot Supper to present the medals…This year …4.00pm in the Courtyard Cafe at Wythenshawe Park: I have 25 tickets reserved for Wilmslow.
BHC is always a tough heavy course and because of adverse weather earlier in the week, it had been decided to take out part of the course which involved a steep descent…This meant that the races were margionally shorter than normal.
It appears that other changes to the course were well received, but feel sure that others can comment on that better than me.
Any errors in results to me please …Full results at http://www.race-results.co.uk/results/2014/maccl134.pdf

And today’s tent haul was – one small black glove, one medium size club vest with hand written number attached and a large pack of wet wipes! I’ll bring to the club on Tuesday. Sadly no phone cover as yet, Graham, but it may appear when we pop the tents back up at wythenshawe park!

It was a fine event, with an adequate amount of mud on the new route, altho’ it did lack a good hill. Carolina is the Invisible Woman in the provisional results, but probably she finished 81st in 32.56. Congratulations to our Ladies’ teams: if the results stand, both Seniors and Vets are already winners! However, altho’ our Men’s Vet team lead after four races, they will need to work hard to stop Salford taking their normal top spot after race 5.
