We ran the "alternative route" again as the walled gardens are still closed. This time we measured the extra distance and compensated for it by adjusting the start position. The resulting course is still slightly long but we'll just have to run harder.
With competition from GMR and RfL the number of runners was back to the ideal level.
A good turnout from Wilmslow – perhaps a bit of practice for the upcoming 5k summer series fixtures. The highlights were fine debuts from Sarah (second lady) and Keith. I suspect that Simon will figure highly in the rankings when he has registered. Stuart had his traditional battle with the speedy youngsters before pulling away to secure the Wilmslow 1-2.
