parkrun ‘Summer Series’ update
Saturday 24th October
We had a total of 27 runners out both locally and afar.
Leanne at Congleton with a time of 24.12, trimmed over a minute off her time and jumps up the table 6 places just ahead of Sue. Andy Watts with his second parkrun and first at Congleton with 20.48 brings him onto the table ahead of Mick. Andy Whit 17.49 and Tony 22.03 could not improve their times.
Barry has left it late to appear at the parkruns, it’s like being pipped at the post, he won at South Manchester with a time of 17.34, bringing him onto the table between Andy and Rob.
Di B was second lady in 20.19 just ahead of Christian in 20.24, followed in by Huma in 22.37. Huma, Congleton next week, you will run under 22.00.
We had 6 runners at Lyme Park, not good conditions, wind and rain on an already tough course Mat 22.06, Steve 22.28 and Tim 22.37 didn’t improve on their times. They were followed in by James Gowin another late appearance at parkruns who comes onto the table with a time of 24.39 just 2 seconds ahead of Chris. James was followed in by John P in 25.59, no improvement and they must all have caught cold waiting for me to finish in a personal worst time of 28.15. I was very tempted to sack it but was already wet through. One last attempt at Lyme park next week or a double with Langley.
Parkrun ‘Age Graded Comp’ Wilmslow
Five runners at Wilmslow, Rob 19.33 74.25%, Brian 19.46 67.12%, our buddy Pete Stock 23.10 68.63% and Ian 24.37 70.82% couldn’t shift Tony from the heirs position.
Jan 27.06 60.39% was our only lady runner and already holds the position of heir to the throne.
Last date to post a park run result is 7th November, the morning of Langley 7.
Also , please over the next couple of weeks check I have your best times posted on the table.

Out and about.
If you think Bramhall and South Manchester are big races take a look at York, great run from Ian Smallwood finishing 52 out of 422. Doesn’t look an inspiring course, inner tarmac road at York races.
At Bramhall Rob 1st and Janine 1st Lady, matched Barry’s performance at South Manchester.

Chris.
Apologies Leanne, I did notice it was a PB time, should have mentioned it. Won’t forget next week.
