parkrun “Summee Series” update

Parkrun ‘Summer Series’ update.

Saturday 31st October 2015.

Lovely morning and the penultimate chance to post a time brought out many runners…27 in all.

At Congleton, Steve Bunker achieved a PB of 19.35, but his 1 second improvement not enough to catch Tim. Dr Matt followed Steve in with a time of 19.55, 5 seconds off his best time. Bernard left it late to post a time and he didn’t listen to the advice I gave him. He wasted valuable seconds if not a minute by starting way down the grid at a very congested start, finishing in a time of 22.15 putting him just behind James G. I managed 22.22, my quickest 5k in a few months. Cat in 24.28 and Jan in 24.55 couldn’t improve on their best times.

South Manchester had three WRC runners there, Christian in 20.28, Andy Whit on chaperone duties in 22.07 and John P in 23.07, no improvement on times or table positions.

Lyme park saw Dr Tim in 22.20 trim 3 seconds off his best time, not much you may think, ask Christian as he is leapfrogged by Tim. Huma with a PB of 24.13 jumps 5 places, to 1 second ahead of Bernard, Bernard, every second counts. Andy D with his first run at Lyme park followed Patrick home, Andy in 25.31 comes onto the table just behind Kate, Patrick 25.16 moves down 1 place due to Huma. Next in was Nicky in 25.38 no improvement. Gail followed Nicky in with a much improved time of 27.07 moving her above Gavin and Julie. Soraya with her first run and a time of 29.09 comes onto the table just behind Gavin. Don’s time of 30.07 leaves him just ahead of Gail on the table.

Next week is the last opportunity to post a time.

parkrun ‘age graded competition’ Wilmslow.

Four runners at Wilmslow, Paul Hawkins 1st place in 18.39 (70.33%), Buddie Pete in 22.35 (70.41%) and a PB. Gavin in 25.54 (64.74%) and future WRC member Joe Eyre with a PB of 29.13 (64.00%) dragged his dad James round.

This month’s King and Queen Tony and Jan.

Those and there are many, waiting for their trophies will have to wait until the Xmas bash. TWD have gotten really busy.

Out and about.
