The 2023 Europe Triathlon Duathlon Championships were held in Venice-Caorle on Sunday. A nice 14 degrees welcomed the competitors.
Nic competed for GB in the In the Age Group Championship – with- “Standard Distance – Non-drafting” [whatever that means!
Nic and got Silver behind Karina – another GB runner! Well done!!!
The race consisted of a 5k run, followed by a 40k bike ride and finishing with a 2.5k run.
Nic was much faster on the runs. But Karina was 10 minutes faster on the bike!!

“Non drafting” refers to the bike leg Patrick. You are not allowed to gain an advantage by sitting on someone else’s back wheel and thereby ‘drafting’.
