Wow. No last minute rush to do Christmas shopping. 33 Club runners were out Christmas Eve morning to run at 8 parkruns.
A half dozen were at a very busy Bramhall. Rob nicked Barry to be first Club runner to finish. He was top on AG too. And to cap it all his daughter Ellen was first lady home. The whole family was out. Paul completed his 550th parkrun. The other Paul, chose to beat the crowds and went to the quieter event at South Manchester. Whilst Steve went shamrock hunting. Closer to home was Di, first time at Omskirk, with a fabulous AG [84.46%] who was pipped into finishing second lady – and second overall on AG.
The Elite Gentlemen went to the fastest course – Alexandra park. The Jackson’s chose the Welsh Hills to run. Nick coaxed Frankie around for her 100th parkrun.
Alderley park had a fair number of Wilmslow runners out. Nine to be exact. President Richard was the first club member home with a 20 second PB whilst showing Lewis – on his 50th parkrun – the way. Sharon was the second lady to finish – Leading Richard and Jomer home. The Screawn family were out in force – Marching On Together. Graham and Oliver kept each other company. Likewise Richard, Carolyn and ex-Member Sharon. Sue was volunteering.
Wilmslow had elev club runners in various form and dress. Young Sam was back in town and first home a fair bit ahead of Peter – who finished second. Nice to see Gareth out – Running!
Nicky was second on AG. With Jim and Andy – 3rd and 4th on AG. Rebecca first Lady home. It was JP’s 298th parkrun.

Thanks Patrick for another great report. Ian and I decided on a flat course on Christmas Eve before tackling a somewhat more hilly course on Christmas Day. We both found running two back to back challenging. We’re not as young as we used to be and recovery rates are not what they once were!
