Another sunny Saturday morning. We had 25 club runners out running at 11 parkrun events.
Though a couple did chose a much longer run to do in the Lakes. Mind you one person chose a big field for their run!
First timers included Andrew who chose to jog around the Big one.
Solo-ists included: Janine – who not only jogged around Cheadle but was first lady finisher and top Ag; Graham – returning to Lyme Park after a month and improving on his 2022 time there; IanS back at Burnage after a 4 year absence; Lydia with a PB in London; Jarrod, with his quickest parkrun this year at South Manchester, also had a – PB by 40 minutes over his 2016 visit which must be a tale to tell!
Then we had dual-ists running. Mum and son at Alexandra Park. Nic and John at Stretford. Nic Closing in on his 100th PB’d by 30 seconds with his fastest ever parkrun and almost went sub 23. JP with his quickest time there since 2018.
A busy Bramhall they marked the 10th anniversary of the founding of Bramhall Runners and club their members, resplendent in their green running tops were out in numbers
Barry was first home and top AG. Paul with his quickest run there for a month. Cat was back after 4 years and with her first Parkrun this year. The gentlemen’s club attended too. Ian’s last visit being in 2019.Roy challenging himself with the hills and trains Paul and Ian top in the Age Category [AC].
The Breakfast Club took to Congleton. Richard encouraged Chris around. Tim was second on AG.
Wilmslow had most club runners. It also had a token discrepancy so hopefully the results are right!! Jim first Wilmslow runner home. His time gets quicker each run he does there. Di first lady finisher. Nicky top on AG. Sue not far off her PB and second lady finisher. Rebecca pipping or pacing Nicky!

Thanks Patrick for your usual great ’round-up’ of ParkRun news. I found Bramhall challenging. I can’t train as I used to so every run is hard work. Ian had another good run, as did Cat with Barry showing everyone the way.
I have now completed both sets of ParkRuns in the club race series. I think I am the first club member to do so. Ian intends to run Wilmslow this week for him to complete both sets. I will be away in Cornwall where I hope to be able to run the Lands End ParkRun.
