Claire spent last week preparing for a 10k. A hilly one. As she would say: “Lovely conditions out there … who doesn’t love a headwind during a hilly 10k race “.
So a gentle 6k local leg stretcher around Wilmslow on Saturday and on Sunday a 1.5 mile down hill warm up from the car park to the start helped her prepare for a challenging run.
And afterwards .. an uphill 1.5 mile cool down returning back to her car.
What better to do on a Sunday Morning!
A nice friendly race. It starts on the athletics track in Witton Park, climbs the heights of Buncer Lane then descends through the countryside of Pleasington and then back to the track for a racing finish!
The result? Well Claire was second lady and 2nd in her category too! Well done.
Perhaps if she started at the from like the leading lady did it might have been different! 🙂
Then again Carla is a little quicker over 10k. Still: who doesn’t love a headwind?
“Where’s the Finish line?” 🙂

Incredible result Claire well done x
Well run Claire! Sounds like a tough course and to be only 4 seconds off the first lady is a great achievement.
