You wouldn’t find an article in The Cheshire Magazine about any dirty older men and some mucky ladies cavorting around Knutsford! But, in the interest of good journalism and no Ian around. I have no qualms investigating!! However, I couldn’t find any pictures to back up that rumour.. Just some elfs and Santas – and strange looking giant pixies.
With regards to the woods there were no reports of any teddy bears picnicking in the woods that day!
Well looking at the photos concerning the event – It’s beginning to get to look a lot like Christmas now…
16 WRC members ran on Sunday morning. Mud, surface water and bagpipes to contend with.
Nic was second lady home and first in her category. Janine was our second lady home and was also her category winner too.
Great to see Peter, Chris, Carolyn and Roy competing as well as a few Saturday parkrunners. It was Carolyn’s first 10k since 2017! For Chris and Roy it was in 2019 they last competed at this distance.
Jan was back again after some injuries and Graham was out pacing his two ladies! Ex member Soraya was out running her first 10k since 2016!

Thanks for the report Patrick, good as ever.
I was not far behind Jan and Carolyn until I fell at just over half way. Hit a tree root and ended up covered in mud with a cut arm and leg. By the time I had recovered I had lost some 4 to 5 minutes otherwise I might have finished with the girls. As you say my first 10k for a couple of years so somewhat over distance for me. ParkRuns are more my thing these days!
It was an amazing sight, 1,600 elves, santas, fairies,crackers, Josephs, running/wading through the mud in Tatton Park. A fantastic atmosphere. Many thanks to Don and Nic who took photos. Nic even managed a video.
