Well Parkrun started today [written yesterday – but forgot to publish!!] in England. A few weeks later than Northern Ireland. Not in Wales or Scotland yet. Runners will have to comply with Covid Guidelines.
Will 100,000 run today at the 500 parkruns? Only time will tell.
Sunday Morning now!! I can say that there were 525 events with 98,650 runners and 12,945 volunteers.
At Wilmslow, runners were greeted with a with a balloon arch from Bamboosh Balloons with colours chosen to match the apricot t-shirts and volunteer t-shirts, and the Provost of Altrincham – Tony Collier Provost of Altrincham in full regalia!- Who started the race.
They were 158 runners – 10 plus a tail runner from Wilmslow. First male and female runners home were Peter and Rebecca! Well done.
