Getting Back to Training

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well, and chomping at the bit to get back!

Its evident from some of the posts that you are all in good shape. Very well done!

A number of people have now seen the EA return to training brief…Max of six (or five and coach). The current situation is no formalized training at WRC although some individual groups are popping up. If you need any help, please let me know.

We have to be mindful that the EA brief only scratched the surface!

I was on a webinar with Martin Rush ( EA H/O Coaching & Athlete Development) on Thursday…Similarly on a webinar next Wednesday morning ref Facilities & Risk Assessments.

It is clear that we can’t resume WRC training until an easing of the six attendees is loosened.

That said…you can have Coach and five & LIRF and five…They would need to operate at different parts of the chosen location. And we would ultimately at certain points have ten together!

How do you then choose the groups?

Considerations based on the webinar:

  1. Where coaching takes place under the jurisdiction of a formal group (that would include WRC) , the club should have a Covid 19 Officer, although that could also be the Coach
  2. Agreement of owner of property needed
    1. WRC, if trail used then the Club Management
    2. The other venues could then include The Carrs & Alderley Edge… I did phone AE NT, but not taking calls. I can email, but am I tempting fate? Some will do it under the radar anyway.
      i)  Public perception aided (if we were challenged) if ok had been given
      C)  Register of attendees recommended
      D)   RA needed & guidance notes (I can compile)
      i)  Consideration to safe distancing, overtaking, running in groups, touching anything, need for hand sanitizer etc. For example tracks using lanes 1/3/5/7 etc.
Consider then the trails we use!

Please bear in mind that if individual groups are training that you bear the above in mind. In theory, they are part of WRC and need to make sure that they are in line with guidance.

Take care all.

Best regards,

Nick
