This Week’s News

Have you been out and about this week?  Let us know what you have been up to.

Looking at the WRC Club Strava leader board.  The same 3 top it this week as did last week. Rob leads it; this week PeterS leapfrogs RichardC into second place.

Earlier this week I completed the Peter Herd Classic Mile.  Others have been pounding the streets and hills in our area.  GrahamS has being doing hill reps.

Lots of members are biking about the countryside. Our local twitcher has reported: Cormorants and a Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Goldfinches,  turtles and a late running tawny owl. I wonder which club that bird runs for! Also, if a steeple chase is being considered if he needed practice in the pools and streams he has been running through. But then I also heard reports of curlews and hares . Is he actually a poacher, disguising his bird watching activity with nabbing the occasional hare and other animal to take home for the freezer? You never know where this lockdown will take us. Jugged hare might be a life saving dish in a few months’ time.  Though it’s more worrying as he branching out in botany with  gorse flowers and aromachology with his study of the scent of coconut .

Laura and PeteS have been rep’ing it out in the countryside.  Matt might be taking up Yoga. Craig has been out and about as has PaulN.

Tim’s has been a wizard with on some of his runs. Laura’s into Bricks and RPE – she should see my RPE figure when I am in the garden [chair!]!  I am up to 6 in my I-Spy a WRC member activity.

Angie likes photo-bombing celebrities.

Coming soon could be poetry?  Where is he now?  The Injury Update is scheduled for May 1st so let me know early next week how you are doing.  Dave Read had his operation – he  is much better and recovering well at home. He sends his regards to all!

Still awaiting reports of your favourite or best race from our members.

It’s the 26.2 tomorrow – can’t wait to see what you guys do. For me it’s 22 steps from the garage – where I keep the beer to the recliner in the back garden! I do like to support a good cause! 🙂
