The wise virgins have already entered, the majority have missed out. Our thought is to withdraw it from the Series but try to negotiate with the organisers a refund for anyone who has entered but now wishes to withdraw. Your thoughts/comments, please.

Why withdraw the Bluebell Trail? It is a fine race, especially Trouper Lane and the river crossing near the end. Probably too much hassle for cash to be refunded, as the organisers would need to re-open bookings to regain lost revenue. The Boll 3 Peaks the day before could be an alternative, but people might want longer interval after the Rainow 5.

Only 11 Wilmslow have entered, the race is now full. They have a waiting list. Helpful if those who have entered would contact me. Tony, will look for a substitute race but on a different date so those who have entered still have the option of running. Ian
Sorry but it shouldn’t be withdrawn. This has happened a few times over recent years, and the last time a race was withdrawn, we were told it wouldn’t happen again, people needed to get organised and enter if they wanted to be sure to run. Everyone had the race list at the same time, it only takes 5 minutes to enter. Are we going to withdraw every race that gets full before race day if people have missed the entry?
Totally agree with everything Julie has said it shouldn’t be withdrawn, that would be unfair to the 11 people that registered … the race list was published some time ago, it’s upto inidividuals when / if they choose to register (people know that most races are popular now a days and will fill up) sorry but I feel just because a race is full those that have entered should not be penalised !
We’ve had plenty of time to enter, so I don’t think it’s fair on those who have done so to have the race withdrawn and my preference would be to leave things as they are. If an alternative has to be added, how about saying each runner can either have Bluebell or the alternative counting towards their points tally but not both?
I agree with the comments made. (I haven’t entered so no self interest here). I think it’s for members to get organised and enter those races that fill up quickly. Would be great to add another race but I don’t support withdrawing this one. For people who have missed out, look on the bright side; I understand that there is a great race the day before – the Bolly 3 Peaks!!
