Last summer Ian Gilliver was kind enough to organise an orienteering event from the club for us. It was a huge success and Ian confirmed it would be OK if we joined one of his club’s evening events over the winter.
So Thursday 2nd February we run up to 11k (there is a 7.4k option, but we are a running club for goodness sake ) around the flat bits of Alderley Edge. We can run in pairs as before.
Hi-viz vests are mandatory and a torch is desirable to see the clues. Registration is just before 7.00 and we start just afterwards. Get choosing a partner!
Base camp is The Drum and Monkey pub, Moss Rose, Alderley Edge SK9 7LD off Heyes Lane. Hot Pot or Veggie Chilli is available for £7 but has to be pre-booked by 6pm this Wednesday so can you email Simon on simon.fenton@sfp-mcr.co.uk if you wish to eat.
Simon will also need numbers running by 4pm this Sunday so Ian knows how many maps to print.
