Sandgate Parkrun Brisbane, 7 am 16th April. Sunny and 20 degrees.
After watching my WRC chums disappearing into the distance at recent Wilmslow park runs, I decided a change of scenery was in order. After all, anything Angie could do I could do, well, probably worse. The 7am start was a challenge so I chose the nearest one to where I was staying. Great course fast and flat ( I was the latter) out along the bay for 2.5k and back. After a week of eating and drinking, a slow time was expected and achieved. John Porteous 23:47.
P.S. It did feel like any other parking although many runners were wearing tutu’s. I asked one of the tutu wearers why this was and was told it was to celebrate various runners milestones e.g. 50, 100 etcetera. Not something we should encourage at home I suggest!

Hardly a ‘Flat’ run JP . Top 15% and 2nd in your age category whilst on holiday. I’d say a great run .
