The Magic of the Mile

Alongside the 100  metres, which determines the fastest humans on earth, the classic mile as opposed to the metric mile (1500 metres), is perhaps the most iconic track event.

Ask yourself who was the first athlete to break x/y/z and few will know…Whereas few will not know of the first to break 4 minutes for the mile…Sir Roger Bannister in 1954. 

Tony has been running a number of track sessions on Monday evenings with the final session tonight with the star attraction being the 7.15 ladies race…A timed one mile…Followed by the 7.25 mens race…A timed one mile.
