Buxworth saw the first names on the 2014 mug; Mike Hill, Paul Norris and John Porteus.
They were joined after 3 Peaks by Huma Rahman, who moves above John into third place, Ian Ashcroft and Gail Hill. Four of the top six are from League 4, which is proving highly competitive; 10 runners at Buxworth, 11 at Bollington.
It's nice for the less elite athletes to have a few moments in the bright lights, albeit with the knowledge that, race by race, for the next six months, we will slide down the table until our true station in life is revealed.
A reminder that to win the running shirt as well as the mug requires 12 races, of which at least five must be on-road and five off-road.
Those who have already run six races occupy 7th. to 16th position in the Main Table; Phil, Matt, Richard, Janine, Andrew, Chris, Clare, Simon, Roy and Trevor.
Damian is 17th., but may have ambitions to go higher. Tom, Allan and Jon make-up the Top 20.
