Worthy of mention –
Brilliant running by Damian on the last loop to move up from 6th or 7th to finish 2nd behind the runaway winner - in a new record time.
Also, by Diane finishing as 1st lady in yet another new club record time, smashing the old one set by Jane Clarke in 2005 by over 2.5 mins !!
And, not forgetting Tom who quietly knocked several seconds off his existing V55 record.

Fantastic race and yet again brilliantly organised by Malcolm.. Thanks to all the marshals / helpers etc also the photgraphers.. Thanks Rod your photos are fab and looking forward to seeing Dons too:) Another great race with ‘excellent’ treats at the end, well done everyone not forgetting our Cheshire runners too!! 🙂
A record number of runners this year, as well as a new course record. Also I didn’t realise until I got home and checked, Diane broke the ladies course record, as well as our ladies club record, becoming the first lady to finish under the hour on the course.
I’m just waiting to confirm the exact amount but we will have raised around £2,400 for David Lewis Centre, another record for this race, so well done to all the runners that helped achieve this.
