It was ladies night at Forest Park on Wednesday and amidst a busy summer series schedule we managed to put together a strong team. After days of rain we were lucky to have pretty decent weather so what could possibly go wrong? Well, Sharon and I made a few wrong turns on the way to the park and ended up practically kidnapping Adrian Thmeikle who we happened to pass on the side of the road. Despite him not really knowing the way we still bundled him in the back for good measure and managed to arrive with about 15 minutes to spare. The race itself was a mixture of tarmac, trail, bridges, forest, small hills and midgies-surprisingly enjoyable. At the finish we were rewarded with flowers for our efforts.

2nd team, narrowly beaten by Vale Royal. They had something that we didn't – youth!!
