As many club members will know, Pete was selected for a 300-strong England Age-Group Triathlon team to compete in Eilat in the European Championships. He did outstandingly well to finish in fourth place in his category – he was 10th out of the water, getting 6 places back on the run to finish 3 mins 30 behind the third finisher, and 25 secs ahead of his chaser.
Better still, his position was later revised following a 'Steward's Enquiry' and he was awarded the bronze medal. We await full details – perhaps one of the first finishers wasn't wearing the correct club vest?
