Summer Series – Race 2

Sunday March 11^th.

Someone else will need to report on the Trafford 10k itself. That Rob was the first Wilmslow runner home, in 52^nd. place, says  something of the quality of the field.  This underlines the achievement of Tom and Diane in winning their age categories. Also notable performances by Katy Green, Kate Sutton, Rob Downs, Trevor Morris, Christine Geraghty, Sharon Johnstone, Janine Ellis and Sally Price.

The aim of Tony’s restructuring of the Series is to enable more members of the club to be in contention for prizes at the end of the season. I have tried to give a feel for this, but without the benefit of Don’s tables (he is away). The list below are (should be) the current overall and category leaders. Given that, for the first time, we anticipate over 100 competing in the Series in 2012 and the majority of us are competing in 9 categories , some in 12, you will perhaps forgive us if the calculations after each race should, on occasions, be a little slow and we would appreciate your feed-back if (when) there are errors. We’ll find the most digestable(probably by being selective) way of reporting-back as the season progresses.
