From a marshalling point of view , this morning appeared a success allowing for the lady with horse and an isolated few motorists who roll their eyes with disdain that a group of runners should be on their beloved tarmac ( my thoughts only !!) .

Many thanks to all those that helped at today’s race. Whether it be race registration, marshalling, water station, results recording, sweep runner, lead car, giving out memento’s etc. Every job is crucial to the success of the race.
With the race not being a Cheshire Grand Prix race this year. It was always likely that the number of runners would be lower than last year. However I’m pleased to announce that this years race has still managed to raise £2,000 for ‘The David Lewis Centre’

I enjoyed it too so adding my thanks to Malcom – registration pre race with Christine, Rod and Roy was entertaining and very relaxing – never heard so many bad quips in such a short space of time. Reminded me of watching the muppets and the 2 blokes in the theatre box. The water station staffed by WRC was great as were Nick and Elspeth marshalling just before the hill – all very encouraging!
