A challenging Woodbank course was the setting for the penultimate league race .
Runners and spectators were attracted like a magnet to the splendid Wilmslow gazebo and flag flying proudly alongside our base .
Mens results are now available : The race was won by Gareth Raven of Sale with Damian having a great race to finish fourth . Mens team finished 3rd in a very close tussle won by Sale with Trafford 2nd but only 21 points separating all three leading teams on the day ….It promises to be a grand stand finish at Clayton Vale , more of that later.

Paul Norris 159th , Ed Hickling 173rd , Patrick Grannan 187th , Chris Cannon 188th , Owen Ashcroft 190th , Ian Ashcroft , 201st .
The above results have taken out guest runners who are deemed either ineligible for individual or team placings .
Trevor completed the line up in 221st place .
The men won the vets event and have already retained the title for the 2010/11 season .The mens B team placed third overall on the day and we also had two more vets teams completing the line up .Perhaps GOM should read Great Old Men ……In most instances !!
In terms of the overall placings , we have a number of runners with a good chance of individual medals in the series , while it looks like a close battle for 3rd team place . Clayton Vale on Saturday 12th February is the final race . The League presentation and Hot Pot supper follows at 4.00pm at the Holiday Inn , close to the race venue . We have 30 tickets booked for our club.
