On 22nd May, Paul Sanders, Paul Ayres and Malcolm Fowler are attempting the 'End to End', cycling from Lands End to John O' Groats. They plan to travel unsupported, cycling around 125 miles a day carrying all their baggage and arriving in John O' Groats on 29th May. The journey, on a mixture of roads but avoiding town centres, extends to 970 miles in total, after which they cycle back to Inverness to fly home!
Malcolm is raising money for the Christie Hospital, and recently sent round a note with a link to his JustGiving site.
Paul Sanders is supporting the Mary Brotherton Cancer and Wellbeing Centre in Wigan, who helped his daughter's partner when diagnosed with cancer. The team will visit the Centre when they pass through Wigan on the fourth day of the ride.
Paul Ayres is supporting an initiative by the Halle Orchestra to buy musical instruments for the Third World, specifically for a music school in Soweto, South Africa.
Paul and Paul are collecting the old-fashioned way, and will undoubtedly be passing sponsorship forms around the club!
