Note from Malcolm:-
Regarding the mens results. We finished 32nd but three teams finishing ahead of us were B teams which moves us up to 29th. Alas, not fast enough to qualify for the National Champs for which we needed to finish in the top 25 teams but the quality this year was very high.
It's interesting to note that Damians time for the long leg, which was by far our fastest time, would have made him the 2nd slowest runner in the winning Leeds City team had he been running for them!

  1. Its interesting how people perceive things differently,
Damian would be fifth fastest out of twelve ,as the slower runners do the short legs.
When you consider that Leeds City has quite a number of runners competing for them from outside the area , rather like Sale Harriers and Salford ,who have have runners competing for them from up to a hundred miles away , as Malcolm ran for Salford for six years ,leaving the rest of us to keep the club competitive. So being fifth ranked in one of the countrys best teams is extremely creditable

Tony is correct I should have said 2nd slowest long leg, or 5th fastest long leg in Leeds team depending on how you look at it. In any event Damians time was 34th fastest long leg compared to my rather pathetic 155th fastest! A complete list of long leg and short leg times is now available on http://www.race-results.co.uk if any runners want to see how their time compared overall with other runners.
