When I ran around the park on New Years Day it was like a Christmas card but underfoot pure ice rink. Fortunately most of the ice had gone today and although still freezing we saw another fast race dominated by the flying chaps from Warrington.
Neil scorched to a sub-19 5k PB reaching one of his 2009 goals at the first attempt. Gareth also set off confidentally after his convincing Boxing Day victory and delivered a course PB.
Phil, Don, Gareth and Nicky warmed up for the XC with Nicky posting a considerably faster time than her last effort in the Santa run to the extent that she moves up to 2nd in the L50 rankings. Ian Ashcroft still doesn't seem to have hit a Bramhall plateau and continued to improve his course time.
