My satnav, using SK17 6SX, would take me some distance from the sailing club, which is just off the road which runs around the north end of the Errwood Reservoir.

Race registration is at Errwood Sailing Club, adjacent to Errwood Reservoir in the Goyt Valley. The postcode for those with satnavs is SK17 6SX.
The Goyt Valley is located between Macclesfield and Buxton. Please be aware that the road running through The Goyt Valley is 'one way' in a southerly direction so you need to approach the venue from The West or The East.
The race start and finish will be at the entrance to the sailing club.
The course follows an anticlockwise loop around Errwood Reservoir. The first half of the race is on tarmac roads. The second half is on paths and tracks, mostly firm underfoot but a 3/4 mile section can get muddy if the weather is wet.
Results will be displayed after the race and there will be prizes for the first three men/women, all veteran categories and 1st men/ladies team (3 to count). Prizegiving will be as soon as possible after the race.
The full results will be displayed on the websites www.wilmslowrunningclub.org and www.ukresults.net the following day.
All profits from the race will be donated to 'Buxton Mountain Rescue'.

One of the Bramhall 5k runners ( run 14 of the 18 races) is running at Goyt . Brian is a V70 and does not drive . He is catching a bus to Whaley Bridge and then walking to the race .
Brian missed the start of the AE trail race by eight minutes after catching a bus to Wilmslow and walking .
If anyone sees a tall slim V70 usually in blue fleece bottoms with a small bag over his shoulder , I am sure a lift would help him get to the start on time !
