Good turn out by the Wilmslow women – and the other teams too.
Once we were off Sue set the pace and I overtook Clare on the descent as it’s not her forte. Needless to say she came past leaving the fields on the ascent and disappeared into the distance.
Nice to hear support all the way round. Inevitably most at the top of the hill – think Trevor will have another picture of me looking grim at the top! Nicky came in shortly after me but sally P was closing. Huma then Cat both nursing ankle injuries looked strong at the finish with Angie getting more confidence at her 2nd X country.
We enjoyed watching the men at the top of that hill. Nice to see their pain after ours. Some entertainment in the large puddles too – some falling – tho’ none from Wilmslow except Gareth who lost his shoe. Results tomorrow hopefully.
