In short: awesome…………….
In full: Can’t say enough positives about this run. Organisation was faultless, the guys from Wilmslow are incredibly welcoming and supportive (some other clubs could learn a lot from them !) and the runners were a great mix of experienced and beginner. Easily my favourite run of the year so far and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next……….

In short: Excellent summery countryside race
In full: Brilliant organisation and exciting to get so close to the planes. The hill after the tunnel was very tough, but it was otherwise flat so not too challenging. I’ll definitely be back.

In short: Superb and Interesting, something different!
In full: Well what a pleasant surprise this race was. Had no idea we would get so close to the planes. Nice bridleways, good mix of runners and superbly marshalled throughout. Loved the tunnel and the hill was fun (erm:p) My friend sad this was the most enjoyable race she had done and she’s even injured!

Can’t wait to do it again. A lovely night

In short: Running whilst watching the planes take off and then dropping down under the runway was ace. Nearly barfed a lung coming up the other side though !!!!!

this race was fabulous! how cool was that running alongside planes taking off, a gorgeous sunset, no cars on the roads. Think this will be a very popular race next year if word gets around.

Awesome!

That was a great night. Really enjoyed it and all concerned can be very proud with their nights work.

Why can’t all runs end in a country pub with a warm glow ?

Don’t tell me that is it now from Wilmslow until the half in March ????

Great Run I have to confess I found it hard still recovering from the after affects of a chest infection!

I loved the runway part never realised there was a river under the tunnel defo be there next year!

As I’m injured and cannot run at the moment I turned up to watch, borrowed a yellow bib and helped

marshall

at the finish. I’m not even a member of Wilmslow Running club, but in the spirit of the running community we all help each other don’t we?

Talking to a couple of my clubmates they all seemed to enjoy the race.

I had a lovely night, although I think I dawdled a bit, to be honest. The bit alongside the runway was great. I was gutted to be 4th lady and come so close to a prize at last, but the 3rd lady did beat me by a minute so I can’t complain too much. The organisation was amazing.

Wilmslow should start running courses on how to organise races – always spot on

Lovely race – thoroughly enjoyed it

I reckon it was about 5.3M, and so my time of 43:27 equates to a slight improvement in my 5M PB (!!) so very pleased

Some great photos as well, including one half-decent one of me (very rare occurrence)

I predict this race will become very popular over the next couple of years…
