The true strength of a team

Manchester XC League update

Individual and team results are available @ www.bbresults.com . The exception are the eagerly awaited cumulative team results. A previous posting has the likely outcome but the actual is still awaited .

We are seeing fantastic turnouts from the men and from Kate’s merry band . My suspicion is that with the exception of Sale for the men , that it will be mighty close at the top.

This is when our super support of the races really counts . Even those who dont count in our first six are potentially pushing some of the opposition counters down the field . That is why everyone is so vital. One team .Take the ladies for example . Altrincham have the clear ladies leader but the rest are well back. Our performances race in and race out are producing the results .

Some further evidence by way of results:

We have had ten different men in the six counting positions . Seven in the four vets counting positions .

Including a notional 2nd team , we have a further ten different men in the 2nd team counting positions . Nine in the four vets 2nd team counting positions .

And how  would the 2nd team have done ?

Race one : 13th out of 16 teams and 7th out of 15 vets teams

Race two : 11th out of 16 teams and 7th out of 15 vets teams

Race three: 11th out of 14 teams (+4 more incomplete teams) and 10th out of 14 vets teams(+4 more incomplete teams)

Everyone has done their bit to produce these results .What a great ‘team’ effort.

Nick.
