Having run Macclesfield last year, I worked out that Congleton was a lot less hilly. Conditions were perfect – dry and just cold enough. I didn’t find the ‘sting in the tail’ too bad – but I hadn’t done Macc the week before, unlike the other 2 brave Wilmslow entrants.
