The penultimate race of this years Summer series saw another strong turnout of 30 runners. There were in fact a further 4 new members running for the club: Paul McAdam, Angela Maziere, Sally Price, & Rosalind Reeves but as they were not yet wearing Wilmslow Vests, their results are excluded from the Series. Well done to them however, Macclesfield Half Marathon is quite a debut!
The league is now pretty much as it will be after Langley. The top 5 places are assured and the top 18 places are probably confirmed assuming similar high turnouts at Langley. There are a few tied places so there could still be some final adjustments. (Click link "Summer Series 2006", on the left hand side of this page, to see the latest rankings).
Paul, Sally, John & Catriona can all still complete the series. We need at least 3 of them to run at Langley to match last years league total.
5 weeks now until the final race at Langley but of course only 2 weeks until the first X-Country event at Heaton Park!
