Tim moves to the top of the table, ironically after his worse run of the year. What made the key difference was his completion of the Popular (Wilmslow, Bramhall, Congleton, Lyme Park) parkrun mini-series. Ian drops to second, he also has done all six races plus the Enthusiasts’ (Stretford, Wythenshawe, Burnage, Sale Water) parkruns.
Matt who has five races plus one parkrun is fourth whilst Richard Lawson, the first person to run all eight parkruns is fifth. Paul Garnett is the third runner to have done all six races.
With each successive race from now on, how well you have run will become more important than how many races you have run and the table will start to take-on a different shape.
Those who have done 5 races are headed by Paul Norris followed by Amanda, Colin, Catherine and Simon.
Andrew is the leading four-race runner from Louisa, Janine, Nicky, Patrick, Janet and July.
Richard Coen was first Wilmslow runner in all his three races.
Amanda strengthened her lead of the Ladies’ League at Yarrow River. Catherine is second from Janine.
Tim heads League One from Matt and Paul
Paul leads League Two from Richard and Amanda
Colin tops League Three from John and Patrick
Ian is followed by Catherine and Simon in League Four.
Tim and Ian have become the first to have completed the 7 qualifying races for the 2018 completion. For Ian it represents his 15th. consecutive year of qualification.
Series continued:-
Sun Aug 26th. Bollington 10k
Sun Sep 2nd. As a result of the postponement of the Trafford 10k we have both it and the South Cheshire 20 mile. The 20 miler, as a Cheshire Grand Prix race, takes priority for points.
Sun Sep 23rd. Langley 7
We are looking for at least one more race and would welcome suggestions. We have a big gap in August and an October race would be good.
