An excellent day for the Waterloo 15k race – bright and sunny with just a hint of wind (not too much, and it even seemed to be behind us on the promenade). Starting from the Merchant Taylor’s playing field the race crossed fields with cows, short sections of sand, suburban roads, gravel track by the sea, and finally back to the playing field. Some outstanding runs by Wilmslow folk. Brilliant run by Sally to get 4th Lady and 1st L40. A new runner Mike Hellman representing Wilmslow came second overall – he really showed that Mike Halman a clean pair of heels! Then Nick Bishop excelled himself by coming both 14th and 405th overall. John Hulme did pretty well as 1st vet 55. OK so Joe Lee’s results aren’t up to their normal standard!!. A great event nonetheless. Results follow, photos will go up as I receive them.
