25th March 2006 Heaton Park
The ladies had a fine run to 23rd place. Having given their all for the club they were all too tired to log on so asked me to file a report.
It was certainly no picnic in Heaton Park with the steep hills making it one of the longest 5ks in memory.
Katy Green was apparently the hero running a fine leg just 6 weeks post natal. I’m quoting captain Kate but I find this hard to believe. I don’t remember feeling that fresh myself after 6 weeks.

Rob
Thanks to Rob for reporting for the ladies. It might have only been 5K but the first half was very much uphill.Compared to rhe conditions last weekend spring had definitely arrived – waiting to start the last leg was a pleasure even in shorts and vest. The ladies can attend the Nationals too – we just have to apply as there is less competetion I guess. It was a great team effort -Jane dashing away from working at Running Bear, Kate A travelling from North Wales, Sally M was luckily home for Easter,Katie looking strong so recently after Daniel’s arrival and Penny competeing at this level for the first time. Sally’s offered us floor space for the Nationals so we might even travel down south.
