With the news that my shoes had been found , I returned to ECH for their Thursday night training .With no chance of getting to WRC for 7.00pm and having spoken with ECH about training , I joined up with their Thursday run .
My current fitness levels gave me some concern when the only group that seemed to be ready for training at 7.00 included Mikko , Tuesdays race winner Gareth Raven ,Danny Vaughan and a couple of young bucks . Within minutes we were back at Daisy Nook . The sun was setting , the course drier and the scenery a joy. The conversation was good and the company excellent . The scenery akin to Sunday and Goyt Valley : We reached the top of our ascent and my need for a comfort break allowed me a two minute recovery : thanks guys ! Geat downhill through meadows and woods and back to Daisy Nook : A bit like Thursdays at the club : 75 minutes running and then into the bar !
Fantastic running territory and a great bunch : conversation got round to arranging a mob run : perhaps when we have nothing on : We could visit some really good pennine fells beyond and including Daisy Nook and have a bit of nosh : ECH would welcome the chance to come to us and see some new routes and we reciprocate .
