248 runners enjoyed the sunny and dry conditions this week, and we witnessed a host of fast times as a consequence, including a new course record!
Existing record holder, Steve Vernon, treated us to a magnificent display of 5K-running, stopping the clock at 14.50, which knocked 5 seconds off his previous time set exactly one year ago. Steve made light work of the tight bends and testing hills of Bramhall Park, and even a wayward dog on the second lap failed to slow him down as he effortlessly hurdled over it! Only the challenge of navigating his way through lapped runners on the narrow paths prevented an even faster time. Unsurprisingly Steve recorded the fastest age-graded performance of the day with 86.97%.
Not to be out done Rob Gilbert also managed a course PB.
1 Steve VERNON 14:50 SM25-29 86.97% M New PB Improved by 5 seconds
7 Rob GILBERT 18:30 VM40-44 73.78% M New PB Improved by 19 seconds
