29th April. My fifth trip to Mow Cop and third victory on the big hill, I also seemed to forget how much it hurts ! Tony once told me he felt like he was going to die , Mike Halman vowed never to return.
The race was resurrected in 2005 with over 500 racing (some three legged,or carrying 37lb rucksacks), this year in the different age groups. Vets race stats from resurrection:-

Bashir is the course record holder with 6.12, and also ran 7.01 as a vet in 2006 but in the main club runner race. I know Tony ran 7.15 ish as a vet and won a computer, but probably in the days when computers came on wheels and needed a two man lift.
