Stuart combined his recent form on the hills (Killer Mile) and flat (Christleton) to claim a well deserved victory at Bramhall. I never quite got away from him on the flatter sections and he was always back at me on the hills. As we crested the last rise I thought I'd got the better of him but he'd saved just enough to fly past again in the last 50m.
Stuart led in over 370 runners in a beautifully sunny park. With up to a hundred tail enders to carefully lap it is getting harder to run a sub 17 even with the revised course but we just about managed to dodge and weave through.
The Stockport juniors were out in force and not looking for excuses. James Parrott knocked a minute off his PB to finish 7th overall in 19:19 just ahead of Mollie Williams in an amazing 19:30 JW14 course record.
