Langley picked a good day for their village Fete. The sun shone, the crowds arrived, the WI cake stall sold out, the beer tent did a roaring trade, and the prize pets were judged. Oh, and there was a fell race.
We set off from the familiar field (familiar from the Autumn Langley 7), but turned in an unfamiliar direction on leaving the field, the direction being – up. A couple of hundred metres of climb sorted the field out pretty well, and we struggled to recover on the circuit of Tegg's Nose. The equally precipitous descent also re-sorted the field, to reveal hidden talents in some, and a major development opportunity for others.
Overall a super afternoon out. There may have been a football match, but Langley Fete surpassed it, especially in the result. Some photos are on the club web-site.
