As April and May seem to be the silly season for both Marathon and Hill runners. I’d thought I’d offer a challenge to all you hill runners for next year! It’s just a lot of ups and downs – trust me.
Crewe 20
There's more ascent, though it is not as steep, compared with Bluebell. However it's like life. It has a series of ups and downs before returning you to where you started from – though beware in South Cheshire they refer to hills as undulations!!
Sounds like a race to avoid if after a PB!
My GPS trace for the VLM was also interesting. I know that the GPSs were affected by several tunnels/underpasses but even so:
– my distance = 26.45 miles
– up 787 feet
– down 866 feet
If taking it really seriously another year I’ll pay a lot of attention to the blue lines. I heard other folk commenting on the mile markers.
